Markos A. Kashiouris

Chairman & CEO
Executive Director

Mr. Kashiouris founded IronFX in 2010. During his career he founded and developed successful businesses spanning Real Estate, Financial Services and International Franchising/Brokerage. Mr. Kashiouris founded Terra Capital in 2000 and has completed in a lead or junior capacity c. €400m of real estate transactions across several European countries, including the UK, emerging Europe, Greece and Cyprus. In addition, he owns a specialised housing portfolio in London, catering specifically for the UK public sector. Mr. Kashiouris holds a Bachelors Degree in Econometrics from the University of Manchester and a Masters Degree in Strategic Marketing Management from UMIST. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (MCSI). Mr. Kashiouris is also an FSA-registered Securities Representative (Level 3). He worked for JP Morgan and Commerzbank Securities in London where he was top-rated in the 2001 and the 2002 Extel Surveys.

Demetris Kyriacou

General Manager, Head of Compliance

Mr. Kyriacou joined IronFX in 2010 as General Manager and Head of Compliance, being responsible for all legal and compliance functions across all jurisdictions of operation of IronFX. From 2009 until mid-2010 he served as Director of Financial Services and Chief Compliance Officer at FxPro. Previously, Mr. Kyriacou served as General Manager and Head of Portfolio Management at ICFI at AtlasCapital, where he was subsequently promoted to Chief Financial Services Manager. He began his career in the financial services industry as a registered Securities Representative in the United States (holder of NASD Series 7 and 63). Mr. Kyriacou holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a holder of various professional certifications issued by CySEC and HCMC, the Cypriot and Hellenic Investment Firm regulators.

Stathis Christophi

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Christophi joined IronFX in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining IronFX, Mr. Christophi was Associate Director at HSBC, Global Investment Banking and Markets, advising banks and financial technology firms on acquisitions and public market transactions. Prior to working with HSBC, he was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the investment committee at Dafolia Management, an independent investment and fund management firm, focusing on start-up ventures in the financial technology and retail sectors. Mr. Christophi also worked as an internal auditor at EFG Eurobank and as an external auditor at Andersen Worldwide and Pannel Kerr Foster.He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ACA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE). He holds a BA in Accounting and Financial Management and a MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.

Dimitris Hatzis

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Hatzis joined IronFX in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer. He is a senior banking professional with 17 years of international experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Leverage Finance and Debt Restructuring in various countries in Europe, the US and Asia, having worked in London, New York and Athens. Prior to joining IronFX, Mr. Hatzis was the Head of Leverage Finance (incl. complex restructurings) as well as the Head of Regional Investment Banking at EFG Eurobank, in the latter position pioneering the expansion of the business in South and Central East Europe. Prior to these positions he was a Vice President and Assistant Director, Global Investment Banking and Markets at Schroders and Citigroup (London and New York), where he worked in a number of Equity Capital Markets, Equity Syndicate, Mergers and Acquisitions and Financial Advisory transactions around the world. He has led or worked in over 60 varied investment banking projects. He is a Certified Corporate Finance representative of the FSA in the UK. He holds an MPhil in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Business Economics from the University of Reading.

Marshall Gittler

Head of Global FX Strategy

Mr. Gittler joined IronFX in 2012 as the Head of Global FX Strategy. Prior to joining IronFX, Mr. Gittler was Chief Investment Officer at Bank of China (Suisse). He has been an investment strategist for 25 years at a number of major international securities firms, including UBS, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank. His research in both fixed income and FX won in polls by Institutional Investor, Euromoney and Asiamoney magazines, among others. Most of his career was spent in Asia, where he was Managing Director, Head of Asian FX Research for Bank of America and Senior FX Strategist for Deutsche Bank. Most recently he was the Chief Strategist for Asia and then for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, as well as Head of the Private Bank FX Committee and a member of their Global Investment Committee.Mr. Gittler holds a B.A. in History from Carleton College in the US and was a Special Research Fellow in Japanese History at Kyoto University on a Rotary Foundation fellowship.

Stefanos Kashiouris

Chief Risk Officer

Mr. Kashiouris joined IronFX in 2010 as Chief Risk Officer and oversees the company’s risk management as well as retail and institutional trading operations on a daily basis. He has been instrumental in the setup of the company’s dealing department including trading specifications and provision of liquidity, and the ongoing product development and management of the company’s trading platforms. Furthermore, his responsibilities include the day to day trading risk analysis, assessment and management in accordance to the company's risk management policy. Prior to joining IronFX, Mr. Kashiouris spent over 3 years at FxPro, initially as Head of Asset Management and member of the company's investment management committee, before moving to the Execution Department where he progressed to the position of Senior Execution Officer. In his early career he also worked as an analyst at a London-based property fund. Mr. Kashiouris holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Finance from City University, London and a Masters Degree in Finance from Cass Business School. He holds the Execution and Dealing on Own Account certificates from CySEC and the Securities & Derivatives (Level 3) License from the FSA. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (ACSI)

Dr. Yan Mai, Ph.D

Chief Marketing Officer

Dr. Mai joined IronFX in 2013 as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining IronFX, Dr. Mai was a member of the leadership team and Head of Far East Marketing and Business Intelligence for easy-forex. Her key responsibilities included developing marketing strategy and tactics, budget management, modeling and optimizing marketing, sales and dealing performance. Prior to easy-forex Dr. Mai worked as a Senior Manager in Yahoo EU Marketing in London, where she was responsible for marketing development and online analytics. Her earlier assignments include Senior Manager in network operations responsible for cross functional business unit performance and real time network optimization at Inmarsat Plc. and Marketing Officer in a blue chip company. Dr. Mai holds a Ph.D in Astrodynamics and Queueing Theory from the University of Surrey, U.K.

Panayiotis Panayides

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Panayides joined IronFX in 2013 as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Panayides has extensive experience in large-scale transformation and implementation programs for financial institutions, in London and Singapore, as well as in outsourcing centers in India and the Philippines. He has designed and delivered solutions in the context of Target Operating Model for regulatory reporting automation platforms, workflow implementations for back office & financial reporting process automation. Prior to joining IronFX, Mr. Panayides worked at Deutsche Bank in London, Singapore and Manila, where he was promoted to Vice President. He began his career with Accenture Consulting. Mr. Panayides is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and a member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK). He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA and MS MIS from Eller College of Management, University of Arizona, Tucson.

Marios Pittalis

Head of Operations

Mr. Pittalis joined IronFX in 2012 as Head of Operations, overseeing all company’s operations at headquarters and abroad and holding responsibilities for logistics, information technology and operations management. Prior to joining IronFX, Mr Pittalis has worked in a number of Cypriot-based blue chip companies, such as KEO plc, Cyprus Trading Corporation and SAP (Cyprus), holding management positions in the functions of human resources, logistics and information technology. Mr. Pittalis holds a Bachelors Degree from the London School of Economics, a Masters Degree from the Warwick Business School and an MBA from the Vlerick Leuven Gent School of Management. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Nael Saleh

Head of Global Sales

Mr Saleh joined IronFX in 2010 initially as Operations Manager, subsequently promoted to Head of Global Sales in 2012. At this position, he is responsible for managing one of the largest, most geographically widespread and multilingual sales teams in the industry. In addition, jointly with the Chief Risk Officer, he is responsible for the company’s ongoing product development. Prior to joining IronFX, he worked as Operations Manager for ACM Middle East & Asia for 4 years. Previously, Mr Saleh played key roles in several multinational financial and brokerage institutions where he gained extensive experience in both the retail and corporate trading markets, including in-depth expertise in institutional partnerships and white label development. His different assignments during his career have provided a solid understanding of sales, customer service and business development operations of online trading firms. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems.
